Installer and electrician recommendations.
We can talk to you about installers and electricians who have helped our customers with successful Heliomotion installations. We are also part of the Solar Power network where you can find trusted installers listed by county. Click here for the website. Many of our customers are happy to show their systems to other interested potential customers. If all local installers are busy, we find it is sometimes better to engage a local certified, competent, electrician to carry out the wiring. It should not take more than around 1 - 1.5 working days to install a single system if the ground works, conduit etc have been prepared in advance.
Please ask us for further details of our advisors, installers and electricians in multiple counties including:
Aberdeen area, Bristol, Cornwall, Dorset, Essex, Glasgow area, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Herefordshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Lancashire, Leicestershire, Norfolk, North Wales, Somerset, Orkney, South Wales, Sussex, Teesside, West Midlands, Wiltshire, and Worcestershire.
We can also put you in touch with customers who have already installed systems who are happy to discuss their real world generation and installation experience.

A recent PV-4 installation using concrete plinth
A recent installation of a single PV-4 (upgraded in 2023 to a PV-6) at a private property in Herefordshire with a sustainability focus. The owners open their riverside property as a tea garden at weekends. With the property having always been independent from the grid, the owners were keen to utilise renewable energy and reduce reliance on their Genset by adding a Heliomotion solar tracking power plant to their recently upgraded off-grid power generation system.
Comprising a Victron Multiplus Inverter/Charger, a Victron Solar Charge Controller, and a 15kWh BYD Lithium Battery Module. “Using the manual provided, the Heliomotion installation process was straightforward, taking a day to construct the concrete base, a week for the base to cure, and then a day to erect the tracking column with drive unit and assemble the metal frame. We opted for Meyer Burger 390Wp solar panels as they are made sustainably in Europe. Our electrician who carried out the system upgrade installed the wiring and panels in a day.” We opted for a Heliomotion system because it allows for more efficient solar PV production than static panels, given that the panels track the sun from sunrise to sunset.
Our Heliomotion solar plant has already surpassed all expectations, producing most of our power requirements for July 2022 including the running of the appliances in the café at weekends. Our power consumption will reduce when the café is closed over the winter, and as we’re not grid-tied and therefore not feeding back our surplus, we’re expecting that on sunny winter days the Heliomotion will continue to top up our battery and cover much of our power needs.”

A single PV-6 system - on a concrete plinth.
A concrete mounted system for a very forward looking eco-focused couple. It is located in a lovely garden next to a river. Enhanced landscaping with light coloured clippings.
How long does it take to install a Heliomotion or 3?
Heliomotion has been designed as a self-install product for DIY competent people. An example 3 system installation recently took around 2 days altogether. 1. Install the base plates and ground screws using Atlas Copco Cobra. 2. Read the assembly manual and bolt on foundation columns and flanges, ensuring balk faces south. 3. Add drive units and frame holder. 4. Add framework. 5. Slide on panels and fix. 6. Install the conduit and ask your electrician to wire up the inverter and connect the systems 7. Switch on. 8. Open the fizz and celebrate your own power from the sun.
